Wellbeing

Staff wellbeing and the wellbeing of children and young people are closely linked. We can support your staff through supervision and reflective practice. Helping them to carry this emotional load.

In addition we can enable you to provide wrap round care and support for those who have been abused through trauma informed and sensitive practice.

Trauma informed & shame sensitive practice

We can support you to develop a whole organisation approach. Using practical experience and academic research models we will help you adapt what you already do whilst empowering you to understand the effects of trauma and how to support those who have experienced it.

You can also join our free introductory ‘Trauma Informed/Shame Sensitive Starter Class’ or you can access our online course via Debbie Innes Safeguarding Academy.

Supervision

Reflective supervision is an essential component of safe and effective practice. The work of safeguarding is complex and hard emotionally. Managing safeguarding situations has an ongoing impact on all the professionals involved. Without effective supervision there is the risk of ongoing and secondary trauma which can impact on their decision making, risk management and personal lives.

We can support you to build an effective reflective supervision model which works with your organisation’s needs. With qualified supervisors we have carried out supervision in a number of organisations using a variety of different models. We are able to analyse your organisation and make suggestions as to what would best support you and your staff within the organisational capacity and culture.

You can also join our free introductory ‘Reflective Supervision Starter Class’ or pay to attend our ‘Introduction to Reflective Supervision Training’ available via Debbie Innes Safeguarding Academy.
